India is a hybrid flawed democracy in the sense that the Hindu majority is able to vote, but the process is poisoned due to intense corruption, thuggery, and handout politics. It becomes a mad scramble between different Hindus and sanskritized converted groups to extract benefits and patronage.
Be careful what you wish for I guess, it might just come true.
And yet they have a higher proportion of voting in elections. Largest receivers of minority benefits, (waqf committee is second largest land owner in India), and are freely practicing their faith. Unlike some minorities in their neighborhood. You won't find a Muslim in India hiding with the name Rajesh, but you can find minorities in neighbouring countries having names like Munavvar, Hamid. Maybe preach to them about "rights".
This sounds ridiculous and likely the product of some Vhatsapp hearsay. But might be comforting to the Muslims stripped of their voting rights and nationality in the eastern parts of India.
The largest recipients of benefits are non-Hindu groups (SCs, tribals, etc) who convert to Hinduism and adopt their ID and in return, are rewarded with reservations and other benefits.

None of the other countries in the neighbourhood are currently ruled by a cow fanatic pogrom expert.
