The key difference from previous

Although India has 190 warheads they were stockpiles

Now 12 of these are ready to launch immediately

That is a huge change
Huge messaging
Rapid reply
But ultimately deterrent messaging to everyone not just our neighbours but an increasingly belligerent USA under a red neck half mad leader

I was about to post this.... this is really a necessity....

We must have some nukes in ready to fire mode... our NFU policy makes it must....

Previously our doctrine was we will not use nuclear weapons first but will answer with many folds devastating nuclear attack if some nuclear power nukes India first.....

But that means first wait till some nuclear power nukes you and then you go running towards all facilities from missiles to jets or submarines then bring nuclear warheads at these facilities and then fit them according to the platform which is time consuming and increases the chances of major powers come into action and prevent you from a retaliation....

Why are we spending billions on SSBNs? For the very same purpose.... now since we have 4 ready SSBNs and speed and progress on S5 series is satisfying we have now a confidence to keep 12 nukes in ready to fire mode.... this is a huge deterrence to any nuclear power who doesn't have any NFU type of policy as ones you see nukes deployed on SSBNs in ready to fire mode then it changes all the calculations of the attacking nuclear power....

Below is an interesting video from defense matrix on the same.... as per this video we may have now even touched the number of 200 when it comes to nuclear warheads....

Out of 620 nuclear warheads of China 34 are deployed in ready to fire mode

Out of 200 nuclear warheads of India 12 are deployed in ready to fire mode

After a first strike on your assets , you won't be able to give a " devastating" response with just 190 missiles

Okay let me ask.you

India had three nuclear powered ballistic subs under neath the Arabian sea or Indian ocean or bay of Bengal right this second

Carrying between 12 and upto 48 ballistic missiles on board depending on type of weapon the k.series

How you intend on finding them..

Second India had about 60/70 Agni missles all mobile some rail transport some in tunnels
Please explain how you finding them

Then we have aid launched .
Somewhere in India or the islands
You realise India is massive country right
Please explain your first knock out strategy to find a d destroy 200 nuclear war heads

We will know the second you launch a nuke

We won't wait by the looks of this deployment in this thread

We will just hit SENT

The General basically saying everything deployed by USA Russia China France UK and India is almost certainly submarine based

France has 280 deployed missles all of them on their Submarines with Mirv capability

The likes of Pakistan Israel Korea no deployed asset just stockpiles of war heads need mating to missles takes time ..
risky

So after failing miserably with your conventional "deterrence", you're now resorting to nuclear blackmail as your deterrence. You must have received quite the thrashing last May.
INS Arihant conducted her first deterrence patrol with live nuclear warheads way back in 2018. And unlike you know who we don't bring "south asia on brink of nuclear war" everywhere. "Muh nuclear blackmail" lol.

190 is current count. With new fast breeder reactor getting online, production of weapons grade plutonium would go brrrr...

Not quite. Agni-P is a ground based MRBM and it is canisterised so basically it is "deployed" too i.e. mated with a warhead and sealed hermetically.

loudmouth enemy nuclear bluff & blackmail was already called out by India during last year confrontation. I still remember all those chest thumping used to be done by Pakistani leadership specially by there master nuclear strategist Khalid kidwainstein that we will do this, we would do that if India attack only to get hammered badly by Indian Military & start begging for ceasefire lol.

Did you have this dream in colour or black and white?
