India's trade deficit with China crosses USD 100 bn in first 9-months

You need to start from somewhere even from 0. India with 1.5 billion people has great potential. India gets technology and money from the West. Which country has that? What it needs is discipline. Plus the will to get rid from Chinese strangulation. Nothing more. Vietnamese companies have high hope on India. I myself think India is not a hopeless case unlike hundred other countries.
Lol, which Western countries going to supply tech to India, the West themselves dont have the tech anymore. Otherwise, they would have done already, they have been saying that for decades. Plus, US vice secretary of State has said publicly in India that US doesnt want to see India develop into another manufacturing powerhouse like China that will challenge US, so dont expect help from US anymore, they can dash away their hope now. Only China has the complete set of industries in all categories as classified by UN. Yeah, US and China are likely to cooperate in this matter, China doesnt trust India and so is US now. Good luck to you people.

He doesn't know the history and incompetence of India. Just look at their jet fighter program and how they do not dominate in any sector of technology...ever.

Poor work ethics , very corrupt and inefficient bureaucracy....on top of that archaic laws that are unfriendly towards businesses.

Corruption can only be restricted by institutions and cannot rely on personal morality. The power without institutional balance will corrupt everyone, even if they are originally of high moral character.

Let me give you an example. There is a CCP member named Liu Qingshan, whose character has been tested during wartime. During the Long March of CCP, he once took off his cotton jacket and left it by the roadside waiting for death after being seriously injured (this is a tradition of CCP party members during wartime. At that time, if CCP members believed they were about to die, they would take off their clothes and leave them for other living comrades to use before death, in order to avoid their clothes being unable to be completely taken off after the body stiffened). He also sold all his property for combat, and he had more than 20 gunshot wounds on his body. His character and morality passed countless tests in war. After the war ended, he was appointed as the mayor of Shijiazhuang city. But power quickly corroded him. In 1951, he embezzled disaster relief funds. In 1952, he was executed for corruption.

So all corruption issues are actually institutional and power structure issues, rather than moral issues. The system and power structure remain unchanged, and even replace with a group of officials, they will still engage in corruption.

Current Chinese political system also needs reform to have more responsible, responsive and effective institutions such as watchdogs of officials at the national level and also local levels not only the CPC disciplinary against the corruptions in China. After a decade of anti-corruptions campaign by Xi, it's still serious.

There is no perfect system or power structure, only continuous improvement, constant trial and error, and continuous learning from the strengths of other systems; this is the only way for to survive. We always need reform, and failing to reform is a dead end.
