Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The length of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road will increase again by 63.45 Km tomorrow. There are 2 Kuala Tanjung-Tebing Tinggi-Parapat (Kutepat) toll roads in North Sumatra that have been completed.
The two Kutepat Toll Road sections are Section 2 of the 18.05 Km Kutepat Indrapura-Kuala Tanjung Toll Road and Section 3 of the Kutepat Toll Road and part of Section 4 of Tebing Tinggi-Serbelawan-Sinaksak along 45.4 Km.
For the next stage, a Functional Feasibility Test (ULF) will be carried out on July 10, 2024-July 12, 2024, to ensure the excellent condition of the toll road before it is opened to the public.
President Director of PT Hutama Marga Waskita or Hamawas Dindin Solakhuddin revealed that the two Kutepat Toll Road sections have been 100% completed since June 2024.
"The immediate operation of these two Kutepat sections will provide benefits for the people of North Sumatra who will be connected. The potential for tourism and trade in areas that were previously difficult to reach can now be explored more optimally, which provides great benefits for the welfare of the community," he said in a written statement, Tuesday (9/7/2024).

Furthermore, Dindin said that the presence of the two toll roads can cut the travel time for motorists and facilitate the accessibility of goods so as to increase logistics efficiency. The next stage will be a Functional Feasibility Test (ULF) on July 10-12, 2024, to ensure the excellent condition of the toll road before it is opened to the public.
This year, the Tebing Tinggi - Serbelawan - Sinaksak Section has been functional in order to support the smooth flow of Eid homecoming this year, and has contributed positively to the community. This can be seen from the interest of road users who pass through the Tebing Tinggi - Sinaksak toll road at the moment of Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijri.
Until now, the Trans Sumatra Toll Road has been operating along 915.65 Km consisting of 15 sections, namely:

- Kayu Agung - Palembang - Betung 42.5 Km (Managed by Waskita)

- Medan - Kualanamu - Tebing Tinggi 62 Km (Managed by Jasa Marga)
- Palembang - Indralaya 14.7 miles
- Sigli - Banda Aceh Section 2 - 6 (Seulimeum - Baitussalam) 48.5 km
