This Pakistani expert Dr. Hassan Abbas on water management has some very interesting ideas. Not sure I agree with him or not. Some points [from what I recall watching it several days ago]
1) Most of Indus River water comes from the glacier melts in Pakistan
2) India doesn't have the capability to stop water into Pakistan
3) Dams in Pakistan are the cause of the floods. Remove them!
4) Instead of dams, use that money to exploit Pakistan's vast solar energy potentials
5) Most of Pakistan's population lives in a narrow corridor on the eastern side and that would help in tapping into the enormous subterrain water

Same view point here. India should've pulled out of treaty the moment first Pakistani aggression happened in 1965. 60 years too late.

Please show the forum where precisely in the IWT it is stated that either party may "pull out" on the basis of ANY form of "aggression" from either or both parties.

If you are unable to demonstrate this, as per the terms of the treaty itself, then you are advocating for unilateral breach of terms of a witnessed and ratified contract between nation states.

Do you not think the actual purpose of the IWT was PRECISELY to secure riparian rights irrespective of the political state between our nations?

Are you cognisant of the actual rationale for the IWT, specifically an event in 1948 in Punjab province?
