LONDON: Thomas Tuchel warned Jude Bellingham to respect his decisions after the England midfielder showed frustration at being substituted during Sunday's 2-0 win against Albania.

Tuchel's side wrapped up a flawless World Cup qualifying campaign as Harry Kane's late double sealed their eighth successive Group K victory.

Bellingham was back in the England starting line-up for the first time since June after Tuchel restricted him to an appearance off the bench in Thursday's win against Serbia.

But the Real Madrid star, who had already been booked, was visibly unhappy when Tuchel replaced him six minutes from the final whistle in Tirana.

Having seen Morgan Rogers waiting to replace him on the touchline, the 22-year-old waved his arms in the air just after Kane's second goal.

It was the latest flare-up involving Tuchel and Bellingham after the England boss was forced to apologise for revealing his mother found some of the midfielder's on-pitch antics "repulsive".

LONDON: Arsenal are expected to be without defensive lynchpin Gabriel Magalhaes when they host London rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday as Manchester City seek to keep up the pressure on the Premier League leaders.

Pep Guardiola's City could cut the Gunners' lead at the top of the table to just one point, at least for 24 hours, if they beat Newcastle on Saturday.

Reigning champions Liverpool desperately need a win after five defeats in their last six Premier League matches, while Rob Edwards takes charge of his first match as Wolves manager.

AFP Sport looks at three talking points ahead of this weekend's action:

Arteta's Gabriel conundrum

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has a major headache as he considers how to reshuffle his defence against Spurs in the likely absence of the injured Gabriel Magalhaes.

The Brazilian has been at the heart of the near-impregnable Gunners back line that has conceded just five goals in 11 Premier League matches.

But reports suggest he could be sidelined for weeks after suffering a thigh injury during Brazil's 2-0 friendly win over Senegal at the Emirates Stadium last weekend.

PARIS: Paul Pogba made his long-awaited return to competitive football in Monaco's 4-1 loss at Rennes on Saturday, while Paris Saint-Germain kept hold of top spot in Ligue 1 with a win over Le Havre.

Pogba, 32, came on as a late substitute for Monaco in his first appearance in over two years after his career was derailed by injuries, a doping suspension and an extortion case in which he was the victim.

"Football isn't over for me. We've worked hard, we've waited more than two years to get back, and today it finally happened. Thank God," said Pogba.

The 2018 World Cup winner received a warm ovation from supporters at Roazhon Park when he came on in the 85th minute and again after the final whistle.

LOS ANGELES: Lionel Messi produced a vintage performance as Inter Miami stayed on course for their first MLS Cup final appearance with a 4-0 rout of FC Cincinnati on Sunday.

Argentine superstar Messi scored once and provided the assists for all of Inter's other goals, with Tadeo Allende scoring twice and Mateo Silvetti adding the other to send Miami into next Saturday's Eastern Conference championship.

Inter Miami will play host to New York City FC to decide a berth in the MLS Cup final after visiting City upset top seed Philadelphia 1-0 in the night's other match.

Argentine forward Maxi Moralez scored the only goal in the 27th minute to advance New York City, the 2021 MLS Cup champions.

Third-seeded Miami will head into next weekend's fixture brimming with confidence after laying on a performance of pace and precision to dispatch second seeds Cincinnati.

PARIS: Donyell Malen scored twice as Aston Villa beat Young Boys 2-1 in a Europa League tie marred by crowd trouble on Thursday, while Nottingham Forest eased to victory over Malmo.

Malen nodded hosts Villa in front from a Youri Tielemans cross but was struck on the head while celebrating by an object thrown from the section housing the away supporters.

The Dutch international suffered a small cut but shrugged off the incident and doubled Villa's lead after being teed up by Morgan Rogers just before half-time.

LONDON: Have Liverpool reached rock bottom or do they have further to fall as they prepare for a tricky-looking match at West Ham this weekend?

The Premier League champions have suffered six defeats in their past seven league games, with few signs that Arne Slot is getting a grip on the situation.

In stark contrast, buoyant leaders Arsenal take on second-placed Chelsea showing clear signs that they are finally equipped to end their two-decade title drought.

AFP Sport looks at three talking points ahead of this weekend's action:

Liverpool crisis deepens

Liverpool have lost nine of their past 12 matches in all competitions -- a full-blown crisis by the standards of one of the world's biggest clubs.

The Anfield team are on their worst run of form for more than 70 years, with the pressure mounting on Liverpool boss Arne Slot just months after he led them to their 20th English league title.

The Dutchman admitted he had not slept well after Wednesday's damaging 4-1 defeat by PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League.

Liverpool are suffering from an inability to take their chances and a failure to stamp out defensive errors.

They have conceded more goals in all competitions -- 34 -- than any other Premier League side this season.

Sunday's trip to West Ham is a tough one -- the Hammers have been rejuvenated under Nuno Espirito Santo, who took over from the sacked Graham Potter in September.

But despite their horrific run of form, Liverpool, a lowly 12th in the league, are just three points behind Aston Villa in fourth spot.

Arsenal show depth

Top of the Premier League and in pole position in the Champions League -- Arsenal are showing signs this season could be special.
