Apple camera upgrade

In 2023, Apple emerged as the top-selling smartphone brand in China, with a total of 2.7 billion smartphones sold in the country, according to data from research firm BCI. The top six brands in terms of market share were Apple, Vivo, OPPO, Honor, Xiaomi, and Huawei, collectively accounting for 91.5% of the market.

A significant change from 2022 was Apple’s rise to the top spot, surpassing Vivo. This shift was largely attributed to the iPhone’s popularity in the Chinese market, where its average selling price exceeded 7000 yuan. Research company Sandalwood’s data on smartphone brand e-commerce sales revealed that the best-selling brands on JD.com and Tmall last year were Apple, Xiaomi, OPPO, Honor, Huawei, and Vivo, with overall sales slightly increasing by 0.3% compared to 2022.

The market saw a notable shift in the second half of the year with the sudden launch of Huawei’s Mate 60 series. This release led to a renewed perception of Huawei among smartphone users and a rapid increase in Huawei’s overall market share.

With Huawei’s strong comeback, there is a potential risk for other domestic manufacturers to lose their market base. Apple, in particular, might face a greater impact, especially in the high-end market segment. This dynamic market scenario underscores the competitive nature of the smartphone industry in China and the significant influence of major players like Apple and Huawei.

Not any more. Huawei released Mate60 in last quarter of 2023. The demand was too big to be met in one month. 2024 Huawei will definitely beat Apple

no. iPhones are only assembled in India. iPhone cameras and screens and battery and peripherals come from Chinese companies.

 Why are you taking credit for things China doesn't do?

Earlier reports and iPhone teardowns have all but revealed the maker of the iPhone's camera system to be Sony, but Cook confirmed the rumors once and for all during his recent Japan visit. Apple has reportedly started the mass production of its iPhone 15 series display. According to a report by The Elec, a South Korean publication, Apple’s display supplier Samsung has started mass producing the OLED panels for the new smartphones. It says that Apple has granted approval to Samsung Display for the production of four distinct OLED panels intended for the iPhone 15 series.

Like India China's main job is to have tons of cheap assembly line workers putting millions of phones together.

LOL! Oh so now you decided to do some research on what China actually supplies instead of just quickly taking credit for things.

LOL! Ah so in other words you admit you were completely wrong about the Apple camera and screen suppliers and you are trying to somehow save face by going on a Huawei tangent.

BTW as the OP states the iPhone was the top selling phone in China for 2023...not any Chinese brand.

😘😘😘😜😜😜👊👊👊
