Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

Iran at some point will have to do something about the naval blockade. And except opening the strait of Hormuz, Iran has no option.

Blockade literally takes the whole economic cycle back to zero. You are unable to generate the revenue, in turn - unable to fund the critical imports - industrial production falls, internal cash flow comes to halt - giving rise to inflation that can make the things difficult to handle internally.

I'll argue this strategy is more dangerous than the active bombing , of course if employed for good time.
Iran can export by land and it already exported enough oil this year to cover the costs for 4 months or more. Its likely the US SPR will begin to collapse before that happens.

This graph is a good way to judge the economic literacy of an American politician. Someone should remind trump that Pezeshkian and speculation did more to damage Iran's currency than sanctions ever did.

From which border?

Oil exports through land is not an alternate (unless there's a pipeline going to port of another country). Oil exports via roads will always be a tiniest fraction of what is possible through sea. 20,000 tanker trucks carry same amount of oil as a single large sea crude tanker. Opening of ports / sea blockade is critical for Iran to be able to export oil.

US SPR will not collapse if SoH remains leaky. And land routes can't be used for oil & gas exports as no neighboring country and Iran have required infrastructure to make it possible.
