Pakistan has always been a Saudi ally
We reach out to both Iran and Saudi Arabia. We do not want to engage in your sectarian sh*t flinging contest which is the only lens you insist on seeing the world through.
The saudis, despite their many flaws, at least funded our nuclear program and were generous with lending us cash. If Iran did that instead of blocking UN resolutions condeming Indian mass rapes of Kashmiri women then perhaps the relationship would be better both ways.
and under the influence of the US
So? Every country in the WORLD, including China and the US, is under the influence of the US.
Iran too, is under the influence of the US. Maybe a certain segment of Iranian population and govt are willing to become martyrs and never make a peace deal but we all know they are a vocal minority at best.
. The only reason that Pakistan was chosen as a mediator by the US was because the US trusted Pakistan and Pakistan was close to China as well. So, both China and the US agreed that Pakistan had to play this role.
Iran's diplomatic communictions with the US go through Pakistan, even before this war. If the whole world, from China to the West, trusts us to negotiate, but Iran is too blinded by sectarian hatred to accept our help, then we can't help.
If the Ayatollahs in Iran thought Pakistan was Iran's friend, or even neutral in the war, they're beyond retarded.
Ayatollahs act as if there is an Indian version of AIPAC in Iran.
The way they censor resolutions merely
condeming well documented Indian atrocities (let alone the Indian sponsored terrorists, Chah bahar, and signing trade deals with India the day they bombed Pakistani mosques and schools last year).
Can you imagine if Pakistan allowed Israel to use Gwadar, or signed a trade deal with Israel the day they bombed Iran?
We can keep reaching out to make friends with middle eastern countries, but you guys always have sectarian or ethnic complexes that hijack your thinking process.
