At this point, US can t afford war. Economy is in very bad shape.

A minority in Tehran. Its Tehran after all, with 12+ million population. Millions of migrants have flooded the city.

Migration is a menace to every society where migrants are not the guilty party, its the capitalistic economy that creates space for migration.
Where are these migrants coming from? I'd image Iran would be pretty firm against any form of migration.

He's right. Israel started it.

*Trump remains an intelligent man, regardless of what else one thinks of him in moral terms. His only "mistake" during his tenure - and what sets him apart from ANY other US President - has been his tendency to say the quiet parts out loud. But there comes a point where even that should not be interpreted as a mistake, per se.

Wouldn't China aim for peaceful reunification with Taiwan, if possible?
In my oppinion yes. They would try. They're preparing for the worst scenario but will praise for a better one (peaceful reunification).

Irán is doing the same with Aragchi and Qalibaf. They're prepared for the war, but won't waste any opportunity for peace. Even if we don't like reformists (they re indulging to be shameful) their paper is important for Islamic Republic narrative.

There is a community note added in X where they stated:

"The report of a confirmed US-Iran breakthrough and agreed measures relies on unverified claims from anonymous sources in one Qatari outlet; Axios and other diplomatic reporting describe ongoing mediation with positive progress but no confirmed agreement or direct talks. https://www.alaraby.co.uk/politics/%D8%AE%D8%A7%D8%B5-%D9%88%D9%81%D8%AF-%D8%A3%D9%85%D9%8A%D8%B1%D9%83%D9%8A-%D9%8A%D9%84%D8%AA%D8%AD%D9%82-%D8%A8%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D9%81%D8%A7%D9%88%D8%B6%D8%A7%D8%AA-%D9%85%D8%B9-%D8%A5%D9%8A%D8%B1%D8%A7%D9%86-%D9%81%D9%8A-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AF%D9%88%D8%AD%D8%A9https://www.axios.com/2026/10/31/qatari-mediators-iran-war-deal-before-midtermshttps://www.israel.com/news/qatari-paper-reports-us-delegation-heading-to-doha-for-direct-iran-talks"

He is not right. Even if the "Israelis" attacked first, the US followed suit and attacked Iran as well. It was a bombing campaign launched by both countries - US and "Israel" against Iran. So in the context of the conflict between US and Iran, it is the US that has launched unprovoked attack on Iran.

Even within the strictly defined context that you have explained, what matters is whether or not one regards US policy as independent of Israeli influence, or otherwise. I do not believe it is an independent policy.
