Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

Naval blockade? Check

Land blockade? Check

Next up No-Fly Zone.

It’s Saddam’s Iraq all over again for the morons in Tehran
the worst thing is that Iranian officials keep talking about 'if' the US attacks again, then we will respond

they do not seem to recognise that imposing a naval and land blockade is an act of war that merits a response as well

their strategy doesn't make sense now. just wait and try to survive as the US tightens the noose? while continuing with negotiations to keep oil prices low? far more drastic action is needed if the strategy is to keep oil prices high, not just hitting 1-2 tankers / cargo ships per day.

Yes, I've seen this news. To be fair, this is Turkmen gas, not Iranian, and Turkmenistan already cut the flow in October 2025, and never resumed since then. The regime in Aşgabat isn't as 'neutral' as they claim to be.
Turkmenistan is adopting a lot of hostile policies against Iran, such as refusing permission for Iranian planes to even fly over Turkmenistan to reach other countries.

Pezeshkian was in Turkmenistan a few days ago, I wonder what they discussed.

There has been decades of right wing investments by zionists... talk radio, evangelicals, race etc...

The talking points have been shoved down daily by not only right wing media, primarily truckers and blue caller workers in distracting them from core issues and their solutions to smokescreens, boogeymen, stereotypes... defining and talking for them instead as the loud mouths... the shrieksters and the slicksters.
With bobble heads nodding in unison as if someone really knows and understands... except for outright deception and gaslighting. The western mind gets swayed by the word but never gets it's true appreciation... the passionate keep the distraction going knowing it is the word alone that will keep even the hungry march along and fight!
Sure, America (British offsprings) is basically just a bunch of naive, beer-drinking folks walking down the street, super proud of their skin color instead of having any actual functioning brains. All that progress? that happened because they scooped up smart people from all over the world, definitely not because of these pea-brained people flexing their fascist ideas and skin tones. And the fun part? The best thing about that creep’s presidency was blocking smart people from other countries from coming in, which was another nice hit to that whole liberal brain-drain hustle.

This Boomer Mossad-RGC Field Marshal is a cancer to Iran and the future of this country.

All he does is make fake red lines that he never enforces and makes empty threats.

He will be assassinated like the rest of the boomer generals before him. If he isn’t killed, it just means that he is more valuable alive damaging the country than dead!

The US essentially managed to throw away all the cards they had in Iran.

In 2009 when Obama was starting his first term, the Us had a narrow window in which they could have achieved something and Iran had a tired population with the youth being largely pro-western. The US imposed crippling sanctions and then caused a war which only created a rally around the flag effect.

Everyone selling oil besides Iran. Been 6 months of no Iranian oil exports. This leadership has no honor to defend its rights.

I expected a more nuanced perspective from you, rather than such a superficial endorsement of chauvinistic American viewpoints. Please keep in mind that the Strait of Hormuz is significant due to its vital function, not merely because of the prospect of it being closed.

Undoubtedly, if Iran concludes in its strategic calculations that keeping the Strait calm carries a higher cost than war, it will target American interests and quite possibly American naval platforms at sea. Resistance is by no means easy; without deep reflection and a well-suited regional strategy, it would amount to suicide and serve the enemy's interests. A wise course of action requires achieving victory amidst the sea of turmoil.

Trump is doubling down. No deal is coming, maybe until he leaves office or the world enters a global economic depression

Frankly, your point was valid. Had Obama's policy continued complete with JCPOAs 2, 3, and beyond with the compliance of naive/stupid liberals like Rouhani and Zarif, nothing of Iran’s military, nuclear, or economic infrastructure would have survived.

Obama's strategy was to create deep societal divisions within Iran, whereas Trump's blunder had the exact opposite effect, inadvertently uniting Iranian society.

Obama's overarching strategy was the gradual containment and dismantling of Iran's nuclear program, funneling its economy under the framework of successive JCPOAs.

But US couldn't maintain the no fly zone over Iran,, because Iran is too large, AND , the supply base for those flight jets enforcing the no fly zone are either in Diego Garcia, or far away aircraft carriers, which are too complex to maintain. at best, US can contain Iran for a few weeks only.
I don't know. As another user mentioned too (my response to him got deleted twice), the USAF has been able to maintain 24/7 coverage of the Strait of Hormuz with refueling tankers. I don't think establishing a no-fly zone over Iran is unsustainable if they managed to do it during the war.

Iraq closes its borders and flights to Iran and Iran lets Iraq export oil

what kind of decision making is this?
This is why I told you Babak Zanjani's tweets meant nothing.
Iraq has been backstabbing Iran since day 1 by allowing Israel to establish FOBs in its territory. Every Israeli strike on Iran happened through the Iraqi airspace. They were the first one to implement the US blockade on Iran. Yet, the Islamic Republic is letting them export oil and benefit from the war.
