There is no cost really, congress will never remove him.Continuing the war will also have a significant cost for Trump domestically.

Honestly, I don't know.Is your gut feeling that Trump will look for a way out, or double down and try to achieve "total victory" in Iran? Iran is being firm on its conditions for a deal, which will be tough for Trump to sell, but continuing the war will also have a significant cost for Trump domestically.
The Democrats would absolutely love to remove him. There is no cost really, congress will never remove him.
I dont think Trump wanted this war, during the first attack only Israel was involved and Usa got involved right at the end. Israel then lobbyed/pressurised Usa/Trump to help destroy Iranian military infrastrature in order to weaken the regime for regime change operation. Israel noticed less Iranian drone and missile attacks so they must be thinking in the 3rd attack iranian retaliation will be even weak. Israel wants 3rd attack and Usa/Trump has no choice, these decisions are made by their deep state. Is your gut feeling that Trump will look for a way out, or double down and try to achieve "total victory" in Iran? I agree. A further strike seems inevitable. But I do think his window narrows after January. Does he really want to spend the last two years of his presidency in a Middle Eastern war while the Democrats investigate all of his friends and family and cut off funding for the war? Anything is possible with Trump, but that seems really dumb considering how many times he already declared victory.Honestly, I don't know.
The firing of Susie Wiles and promotion of Stephen Miller to CoS along with Hegseth's tweet about the Patriots are now in charge should be of concern for rational people. Even to the extent that any deal is likely off the table.
Iran's demands are not going to be met. At least not by this Administration. Refer to the promotion of Stephen Miller as to why.
