We have learned from this episode that Airdefence systems can be neutralized, missile bases can be destroyed. Runways can be damaged. There is not alternative to nuclear bomb. This is the day Iran should realize that it have no other option but to build a nuclear bomb.

Iran is facing sanctions before nuclear bomb, what it should have been facing after nuclear bomb. So basically you got all the work and repricussions but not the pleasure and reward. Pakistan built the god damn bomb and had to face sanctions for only 3-4 years. Iran is being sanctioned for 2 decades now.

Iranians and rest of the world should understand why they are after any country which is about to go nuclear. It means nuclear is the only option that could deter them from devouring the entire nations.

No, it absolutely wasn't, especially at the very beginning in the first two years when the revolution was made of Syrian civilians and army defectors and we were about to topple Assad, but the Iranians stepped in to save his ass and prolong the revolution unnecessarily for 8 more years, causing hundreds of thousands of additional deaths and complete destruction of most of our cities. That BS your spewing is nothing but Iranian BS.

They would be in much better position now if they let assad go but lot of paranoia and their own ambitions and unrealistic plans backfired.
Pretty sure that as pragmatic as they are new syrian government would be ambiguos and ready to cooperate with iranians if they stayed away from syria.
Justification for their meddle due the fear Hezbollah cutting off is long stretched and paranoic. On the other hand when ISIS emerged it showed in certain extent that their fears were had some base. But all that is over now and it is salvaging time for everybody.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth declined to say whether he has advised President Donald Trump about strike options for Iran.

Hegseth made the comment under questioning from lawmakers at a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing on Wednesday.

"My question for you is whether you have been asked actively to provide options for the president regarding a strike in the Middle East," Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H., asked.

"If I had or I had not, I wouldn't disclose that in this forum, Senator," Hegseth responded.

"My job, our job the chairman and I, at all times is to make sure the president has options and is informed of what those options might be and what are the ramifications of those options. I appreciate that you mentioned the troops in the region with maximum force protection at all times is being maintained," he added.

I have a suspicion from the beginning of this Iran war.

I wrote on this forum elsewhere that an Indian colleague of mine who has links in Indian planners sarcastically told me that wait for the month of August, that will bring something surprising.. for now, Iran will be tackled.
