Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

It doesn't have to be substantial. It just needs to be destructive enough to cause unrest in Iran and that seems pretty easy. They just need to hit 3-5 oil terminals, power plants, petrochemical plants, etc. and it will add extra pressure to the already collapsing economy of Iran.

An attack on Iran should be avoided and deterred completely.
Bro! That's is MAJOR substantial, hecwceforth my comparison with the zionist regime lame duck excuse for a strike. If the orange manchild is that deranged, and IF the US military is that suicidal, then so be it. Trust me, most of us diehards here are really really hoping that Iran get the opportunity to show what it can really do. We don't want a war but if a war is forced upon the IRI then the gloves are off!

I really hope that's true. Unfortunately, I think the regime seems to have a much higher threshold for what is substantial. For them, substantial means a ground invasion of Iran for regime change. The worst situation, I emphasize "the worst" is if Trump resorts to limited strikes against our infrastructure but the commanders in Iran, or Khamenei, refuse to engage the US military in response (or give a symbolic response like previous times).

I think at this point, even the people who doubted Iran's missile forces know for a fact that we can attack and hurt the US military assets in the Middle East. That is no longer a question of possibility. But the real question now is, do the regime and military commanders in Iran have the cojones to do that?

They didn't show the willingness to kill American soldiers when we attacked Ain Al-Assad in retaliation for the assassination of our top commander. They even coordinated the attack with Iraqis/Americans before launching it. The same thing happened in TP1 and TP2. We also failed to respond to Israel's violation of our territory which killed 5 Iranian soldiers. So, the current question is all about how willingness to engage the US and Israel, particularly when one side is armed with nuclear weapons and we're not.
The problem is Iran is alone whilst it's rivals are Israel EU USA and GCC. If Iran goes all out attack in the middleeast, this will cost Iran too much when all Arabs will turn against Iran, it will be perfect propaganda tool to be used against Iran. The same with bombing Israel and harming it greatly, all Iran wanted to show that they have the capabilities to harm Israel and same with bombing Usa base in Iraq. If Iran is bombed or invaded by Nato then all restrictions will be off and Iran will retaliate but they cannot do this if their assets are targeted in Iraq or Syria. Iran should be able to retaliate from Iraq or Syria but we all saw the weakness and now Al Assad and SAA are finished.

welcome to the Third world war.
Who will defend Iran from Nato/Israeli attacks? Unless China/Russia makes it clear they will not tolerate attack on Iran then I doubt ww3 will happen. Nato will bomb Iran, Iran in return will bomb middleeast bases which will turn all Arabs against Iran. A great plan to isolate Iran in the region.

I think if the war happened, iran will go with nuclear weapons, will throw IAEA representatives out, and take the stockpile of enriched uranium already there and will feed it to their centrifuges to get higher yield than 60% HEU of U235 from U238 and will most likely be able to do all of this in a couple of weeks. Currently, 274Kgs is 60%, which means they can make 274/10kgs = 28 Nukes of Hiroshima size. yielding 18 Ktons of yield each

Making a huge assumption that Iran has achieved producing a nuclear weapon. Yet, I wouldn't want to assume they don't have some capability even if via dirty weapon.

Even the Taliban or the ISIS can produce a gun-type weapon.
But we have credible information from Israeli sources that Iran worked on an implosion device similar to Mark V in US arsenal before 2003. Mainly in late 90s. Apparently, the Israeli nuclear engineers believed that Iran's device could achieve 30 kilotons but there isn't any information about how much uranium Iran had used to achieve that yield.

I'm praying for the zionist West to something so stupid that it's too much for famous Iranian patience to bear! I am truly hoping for a royal FAFO!

Famous Iranian patience? You think they don't escalate because of patience?
Anyway, I think the best scenario is that we could deter a military strike without fighting it.

Patience with a severe dose of political and military acumen. Anybody can just lash out like a madman but at what price? The Iranian political system is not akin to the Ba'athist regime of Saddam. As I've stated, unless seriously attacked then Iran will not go the full monty on zionist Western targets. The response will measured to ensure that the situation doesn't escalate to a full-blown war. The death of tens of thousands of Iranians is not something to be taken lightly no matter the political dividends

Witkoff Says U.S. Open to Compromise Ahead of Iran Nuclear Talks

Preventing ‘weaponization’ by Tehran is White House’s ’red line,’ says Trump’s special envoy to Middle East

"Where our red line will be, there can’t be weaponization of your nuclear capability"

There's NEVER going to be a Libya situation. It's not going to happen! Iran is NOT going to give enrichment. People need to calm down. The Americans know very well where their mandate ends. The West will have to climb down it's high horse soon enough.

Dude, Iran does talk like a madman. We know how to run our mouths without thinking about the price. We know how to talk the talk and pretend to be tough, but when it comes to walk the walk, we lag. Fortunately, this policy of talking the talk worked quite well before the assassination of Gen. Soleimani but Trump called the bluff and it's been downhill for our foreign policy and regional influence ever since.

Honestly, the way Witkoff is talking before the negotiations begin, it seems that reaching a deal with the Trump administration would be possible and is accessible. They want to extend the JCPOA in a sense. Of course, JCPOA is a terrible deal (as I have criticized it from day 1) but if the other alternative is a series of skirmishes with the US Navy, the deal is definitely a good choice.

Let's not forget that Iran's civilian nuclear program is absolutely a waste of resources and it's completely useless. So, the best scenario for Iran is to shut it down completely and mend ties with the West. Because Iran has proven times and times again that it does not have the cojones to produce nuclear weapons. So, there is no reason to enrich uranium. It's costly and useless in the scale of the JCPOA.
