This isn't rocket science, the US is posturing, and the most they can do is Arial bombardment, which will target IRGC infrastructure and leadership. If they attack Iranian leadership then that is the ultimate declaration of war, and Iran would be wise to use this to unite their nation and engage in war.

The Iranian military was never setup to directly fight Israel, just have some level of deterrence, which Israel crossed anyway.

However, the Iranian military "is" setup to fight the USA in the Persian Gulf, and its military bases in the middle east. I d think they will be more effective against the USA than Israel for that reason, as more of its military capabilities are trained for this type of war.

This is why If Israel is not involved in the attack, then Iran should leave them alone and focus on the war they have prepared for and impose a real cost that will serve as a future deterrent.

Does, the slow rate of US military capabilities moving to the Middle East, mostly larger planes and not many actual fighter jets indicate we have entered into a shadow box phase where the USA does not want to attack, but wants to huff and puff to try and get political concessions ?

Yes...the tech for seeing through walls is not a secret...low emissions microwave device....perhaps a game changer in city battles but still rudimentary and needs to be very close to work...as far as sound wave weaponry...I know they were testing something like it, but i didn't hear it was operational. Again it has its limitation...not sure it can be useful if they enemy knows you're there...you essentially need a clear line and a big dish with power source... I'll be very surprised if it can work through concrete. All of these things are useful in hostage and rescue operations, but have limited use in an open war.
