You might be right on the last point I have to admit, but I don't mean to clash but always love a robust back and forth, it's okay give it back to me I'm not going to be sensitive.
My basic point was that you would be wrong to assume China is simply looking at Iran from an energy provider perspective and as a crucial one which leaves them with no options.
Yes Iran falling is important but Pakistan is the country that China has said they will protect explicitly, never Iran
And also on the flip side the Iranians did not seek Chinese help soon enough
It is meaningless to help a regime that is full of traitors and can’t even protect their own leaders.China can help Iran the same way USa helped Israel during yom Kipper and 1967 war
22 Tomahawks were flying over Syria 20 mins before and social media knew it
the Supreme leader has plenty of time to take cover
but their ideology is different want to die a martyr
Just a side fact to remember- before US admitted it lost the Afghanistan war it started , Afghanistan actually went through 3 supreme leaders. The 2nd leader stayed in his role for a very short time, but Afghanistan still won the war against US.So the US & Israel hit the compound after they were "in talks". So that the important people wouldn't be protected or move to shelters. And things would seem like they are being handled diplomatically.
Kind of smart, but at the same time dirty tactics. I can bet alot of these riots are paid actors by the CIA&Mossad. They want Iran completely neutered.
An enemy that kills 140 girls in a school. Another high precision attack. Lawless bastards bro.
It does not work that way if oil goes up it means global inflation and less people will be able to buy cheap chinese products or any. You can not be totally unaffected, not mentioning that oil is stll main raw material for majority of your exports.A lot of people are wondering if this war will affect China. So let me quickly explain.
To set the table lets assume the worst and that all the iranian and gulf arab oil infrastructure built over half a century costing over a trillion is destroyed and there is massive shortage of oil internationally and that oil supply will not be returning soon.
Currently:
1. Over 60% of Chinese vehicles are EVs (and growing) and China uses more clean energy than the rest of the world combined such as hydro, wind, solar etc. Chinese people mainly travel via electric scooter, electric trains, electric vehicles or now growing in number: electric driverless buses.
2. China is the world leader in nuclear technology and coal technology and has enough reserves to power china industries for generations.
3. China will increase purchases of oil (if required) from Russia, Kazahstan, Brazil etc and China has the money to pay for it if its worth the cost.
4. At present China has a few billion barrels of oil in strategic reserves and will be used if required to transition from one power source to another.
5. China has successfully operated and installed the thorium reactor to the energy grid and has more nuclear reactor stations in development than rest of the world combined.
So..yes if the oil supply in Iran/Gulf suddenly stopped China will be impacted, however China will not be nearly as impacted as less developed nations whom don't have access to mass clean energy, nuclear energy and coal/oil reserves. Western nations will also likely to be impacted more due to heavier reliance on petrol as well.
Few weeks ? That's too much for Mr Trump he wants this to end before the stock market opens on Monday ! I hope he does not resort to even more escalation.
If Iran mines the Strait Of Hormuz and keeps US minesweepers away from the Strait for 2 months with anti-ship missiles and drones, it will take additional 4 months for minesweepers to clear the mines - 6 months in total.
If Iran closes the Strait of Hormuz for 6 months and destroys Gulf oil infrastructure, US economy will lose 4 years of development and US will add additional 4trln dollars to its debt over several years (as per Gemini AI).
If US brings additional forces and conducts an Iraq 1991 style bombing campaign against Iran, its infrastructure and economy will be in ruins, but Iran will score adding additional 4trln dollars to US debt and pulling US economy behind by 4 years. Also Europe and Asia will be devastated.
Another legend bites the dust. This is not looking good.
I don't know, I am not trying to be a Chinese spokesperson here but just to clarify some incorrect notions people might havewhen is China in a bipolar world going to use its military to help someone ?
