Either Iran destroys Israel's oil storage sites, or the neighboring countries in response. Israel's are best...

The oil depot and storage sites in Israel are "perfect" use case for the cluster munitions.


The risk here is that Israel now attacks the oil storage sites in the GCC with a view of getting them to blame Iran and trying to force them to kick things off between them.

Iran exerts some influence over these parties, and the history of Iranian Kurds has significant differences from that of Turkish-Kurdish or Arab-Kurdish histories. Nevertheless, it is now 2026, the US is involved, the PKK is free to engage, and the Iranian state has been weak for decades, creating opportunities for maneuvering.

It is said that Kurdish groups executed the attack on Azerbaijan coming from Iranian territory. This would explain their choice of Nahçıvan. While there is no confirmation of this, if it is accurate, it would mark the first operation of its kind.

It depends on how one defines 'win'. If the missiles and drones stop, I think Trump will declare victory and go home. He may talk about 'regime change'. That is just hot air. Even Israel won't care who rules Iran if there is nothing to threaten them.
