Call me a conspiracy theorist and don't want to drag Pakistan here but I feel the attack in Paghlam in IOK was part of a bigger picture. Use India to try and suppress Pakistan so it stays out of any reginal conflict, when that backfired or rather the stick approach failed now US and the West are using the carrot approach.
