I believe the average sorties per day fell off quite dramatically after the initial shock and awe of the first 72 hours.

Probably averaging 300 a day maybe slightly higher.

No way the USAF is still averaging 1000 a day like the initial days of campaign

An F35 was damaged over Iran. Analysis suggests a proximity detonation by an anti-air missile rather than direct hit.

A big development was Trump's debacle last night where he approved Israeli attack on South Pars field, in order to "send Iran a message". After the Iranian retaliation at GCC facilities and subsequent oil price spike to $110, Trump now says no more attacks on Iranian facilities and that he was never involved in the Israeli attack

The most delicious piece of news however is that Treasury, in desperation at the rising oil prices, is planning on removing sanctions on Iranian and Russian oil that is currently at sea lol.

much lower than that now, you can see far fewer refuellers over KSA these days

and now they lost an F-35 and 2 refuellers over Iraq they will be more cautious

the dramatically lower sortie rate allows Iran to dig out missile base tunnel entrances and move AD systems into place to set up new ambushes

I think with what happened today we may have seen Iran start to use missiles/tech they have been holding back. The sheer amount of hits one reads about in the news are much higher then in the first week. Possibly interceptors are being used more sparingly and Iran using more hypersonics, not sure, bit if these trend carries on the tide of the war is for sure turning in Iran's favour.

Remember we know and can see hits on Arab bases and US bases on Arab soil, no one still knows what hits Israeli bases have taken due to their censorship.

My guess is if Iran can destroy planes at Ben Gurion which must have been heavily defended as being Israel's main artery to the world, then IDF air bases elsewhere must have taken hits, but for strange reasons we never see Sat images of IDF bases....

That's fair. I haven't tracked it as I've other things to keep me occupied. So no reason for me to doubt you. I'll still suggest easily 10K-sorties have been flown to date.

Nope. The mechanism exists, but it will not be used. The midterms will hold the key for the two remaining years after that. And even then, I am not really sure there will be any substantive changes in US Middle Eastern policies.

This present war will end one way or another, and remake the whole region, and influence the world, for better or for worse, IMO.
