What it does not tell us is whether, even if they had an air force, they could have maintained a strong BM force, given the sanctions!

China sold weapons to both Iran and Iraq during that war so that is not true.

At that time, China also sold DF-3 missiles to Saudi Arabia, with a range of about 2000KM.
