You start somewhere. The proposal was to bring both parties to table and try to find a middle ground.

But weren’t both parties ALREADY on the table when US / Israel began attacking Iran mid negotiations?

1. The country is not down. The Iran-Iraq war was way more desastrous. And what ever happens in the near future, the ends justify the means.

2. A country can only get a nuclear weapon if at least one of the 5 permanent UN Security council countries allow it!
Israel, Pakistan, India and North Korea only got the nukes because at least one of the major nuke countries WANTED them to have nukes.
But nobody wants Iran to have nukes....I don't think I have to explain why. And that's the reason for Khameneis fatwa.

Israel is attacking railways, ship building and expressways today. A proportional response should be given to Israel.

They attacked railways in Kashan and a few other places, hit ship building at Khorramshahr City, and hit an expressway linking Tabriz and Zanjan in northwestern regions of Iran. This is all because our yesterday's response was not proportional.

1. The Iraq-Iran war lasted 8 fucking years. If you see how much destruction each day is causing us, we will soon pass the Iraq-Iran war in a couple of weeks.

2. This is by far the weirdest thing I have read today. Going back, nobody wanted China to have nukes. Nobody wanted India to have nuclear weapons. Nobody handed Pakistan nukes on a silver platter either. The whole situation with nukes was a chain reaction, historically speaking. Heck, the Americans didn't want even the British and the French to develop nukes after the Soviets did. How do you guys come up with this sort of nonsense?
