Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

Iran's sly maneuvers backfired, as it claimed the mines had gone missing. In response, the U.S. military immediately deployed two missile destroyers, the USS Frank E. Petersen Jr. (DDG 121) and the USS Michael Murphy (DDG 112), to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, where they deployed unmanned underwater vehicles to conduct mine-clearing operations. This created favorable conditions for the U.S. military to occupy Qeshm Island, Larak Island, and Kharg Island, and seize control of the Strait of Hormuz, following the breakdown of negotiations.

Nothing has changed between the two sides if these are still the points of disagreement. What was the purpose of this meeting in the first place?

I find it difficult to understand the Iranian leadership as well.

It looks like that both sides are improvising in this conflict without a clear strategy or tactics.

I mean at this point Americans should also ask that every Iranian should give up one of their kidney's. Like they want Iran to accept these terms after been betrayed twice? From the looks of American demands it seems like Americans only did this ceasefire for optics back home, they knew that Iran won't accept these terms when they (Iran is not getting anything in return).

Trump is bipolar.

first tweet was about how negotiations were good apart from nuclear issue. That means they made progress on strait issue as well.

Second tweet is all about rants and threats of closing strait which is already closed.

is this man mentally stable? Or his social media hijacked by Isreal?

URGENT VERY:( Beginning of the Siege )Launch of a U.S. military operation now aimed at besieging and seizing the Strait of Hormuz from Iran:1- Any Iranian military movement will be struck 2- Trump has issued his orders now to the Navy to move 3- Trump received a briefing from JD Vance4- Trump says that every ship in international waters paying fees to Iran will be tracked and intercepted5- Trump says that Iran will not be allowed to profit from imposing illegal transit fees and this is an act based on extortion.

So basically the ceasefire was nothing more than a way for US to give Trump and off ramp and for them to get more assets into the area during war time.

Now Iran cannot strike preemptively without looking like the aggressor. So it has to wait until the ceasefire expires or U.S. decides to attack first.

Why not?

Who allows force build-up?
The talks collapsed and unless anyone assumes that there is still a chance of a breakthrough it is hostile environment waiting to breakout.
Iran would be wise to put clear red lines and movement of assets. Which I had noted prior to the negotiations. It allows for change of posture and therefore change in battlefield and objectives.

So far orange is actively seeking a face saver status quo ante bellum. That would be a win if he can extract any... knowing the cost he extracted from Iranians and blacked any recourse for reconstruction and salvaging it's economy.
It is the US economy that runs on high octane... it isn't without reason that US destroys means of production first. No terrorists in the history have destroyed more civilian infrastructure or killed more civilians than the US! There is no comparison... a terrorist will destroy a car... US will in turn dust the whole city block. There is a reason for it... they're seeking social collapse.

Did we actually say we mined the strait? I thought that was trump propaganda
No, the tweet is about the mines we laid near our islands in the Persian Gulf. We did mine our islands, but not the Strait of Hormuz.

I hope it's nonsense though. As far as I know, demining an area that large will take weeks, not just 2 days.
