Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

lavrov700.jpg

Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov met Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing on Wednesday and offered to cover any potential shortfall in energy supplies caused by the Iran War as the U.S. military said its blockage of all Iranian ports along the Strait of Hormuz has been “fully implemented,” and all shipments out of the country hav been “completely halted.”

Speaking to Russian state media, Lavrov said Russia is capable of filling any energy resource gap that China may face as a result of the Iran war and the U.S. blockade.

The Russian foreign minister added, “Thank God, we and China have all the capabilities” to avoid being beholden to the “aggressive adventure” in the Middle East, which “undermines” the global economy and energy flow.
Trumps unintended consequences. Russia and China getting closer - mutually beneficial. Well done Trump.....

A conventional ground invasion of Iran is imminent. Whatever Israel wishes will be fulfilled. Now is Iran last chance to build the bomb.

Deep down Putin is seething on the inside becoming China's junior partner instead of the other way around

Good, but 6 ships related to Islamic Republic has sailed between both blockades, that shows that is not a total blockade, and moreover, some kind of price has been given to Islamic Republic.

I don't put much weight in the blockade. Not only Iran has considerably diversified its economy but there are other trade routes. Plus Iranians are a very resilient people. I posted a video of Vali Nasr yesterday in which he he quoted Pakistan's Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto from the 70s: "We are willing to even eat grass to build a nuclear weapon". Vali was implying Iranians have the same mindset about their security and sovereignty.

I remain cautiously optimistic about the Islamabad Talks II starting in next 2-3 days but we need to also pay attention to the build up of even more US troops in the region.

❗️Senior Hezbollah official and member of Lebanese parliament, Hassan Fadlallah:

"[The southern Lebanese village of] Bint Jbeil, up until now, and despite the intensity of [Israeli] fire, remains steadfast with a rare courage… and the word ‘withdrawal’ does not exist in their vocabulary."

Yet Iran is not building the bomb. More troops are being deployed to the region meanwhile no one really knows what iran is doing during these two weeks. land routes in Iran cannot fully offset the sea route trade passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

❗️Major General Ali Abdollahi, Commander of Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, warned that the Islamic Republic’s Armed Forces will not tolerate any US-led maritime blockade targeting Iranian commercial and oil vessels in the Persian Gulf, the Sea of Oman, or the Red Sea, according to Tasnim News Agency.

"The powerful Armed Forces of Iran will not allow any exports and imports to continue in the Persian Gulf, Gulf of Oman, and Red Sea," the Commander said, adding: "Iran will take powerful action to defend its national sovereignty and interests."

❗️Senior Hezbollah official and Lebanese MP Hassan Fadlallah:

• "The enemy tried to compensate for its defeat on the battlefield through the Washington negotiations."

• "The Lebanese authorities must reconsider their calculations and return to their people."

• "The authorities withdrew the army from the south, leaving it exposed to occupation and giving the enemy free opportunities."

• "Separating Lebanon from the Islamabad track was an Israeli demand."

• "The US position on separating Lebanon from the Islamabad track was based on the stance of the Lebanese authorities."

“Iran does not seek war or instability” and has emphasised dialogue and constructive engagement with other countries, Pezeshkian said. He went on to add that “any attempt to impose will or force the country into submission is doomed to fail, and the Iranian nation will never accept such an approach”.

According to the IRNA, he criticised the double standards in international conduct. “What justification is there in targeting civilians, elites, children and destroying vital centres, including schools and hospitals, within the framework of international law and humanitarian principles?”

Trump says war 'very close to over' as US shuts down Iran's maritime trade

US President Donald Trump, in an interview to be aired on Wednesday, said the US-Israeli war on Iran is "close to over.”

"I think it's close to over, yeah. I mean, I view it as very close to over," Trump told Fox Business anchor Maria Bartiromo when asked if the war is "over." A video excerpt of the interview was shared on X.

Naval blockade will trigger retaliation

According to Iran's semi-official Tasnim News Agency, the Commander of Iran’s Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters warned the US that the naval blockade violates the ceasefire, saying if the blockade continues, Iran will prevent all export and import processes in the Persian Gulf, the Sea of Oman, and the Red Sea.

"If the aggressive and terrorist US continues its illegal action in enforcing a maritime blockade in the region and creating insecurity for Iranian commercial vessels and oil tankers, this action by the US will be a precursor of violation of the ceasefire, and the powerful Armed Forces of Iran will not allow any exports or imports in the Persian Gulf region, the Sea of Oman, and the Red Sea to continue," Major General Ali Abdollahi said in a statement released on Wednesday.

"Iran will take decisive action to defend its national sovereignty and interests,” he said.
