Basically, Trump is acting like Netanyahu does: In wars and in negotiations. There is no 'honor' Trump shows just like his boss Netanyahu shows no honor. Analysts have already pointed that the American military, which is a professional military with a history of waging wars honorably, has sunk to Israel's level by targeting the hospitals, schools, and other civilian infra. I bet the professionals from the West Point, both retired or serving, are in great angst about it.

If you have the time, read about the situation of the Carthaginian Empire between the 2nd and 3rd Punic Wars and what led to the final conflict. It's reminiscent of the current situation between the U.S. and Iran.

In my view, it's history repeating itself.

Trumpy has check mated himself.

He wants to come across as the big strong guy, Reagan like and went through the escalation ladder so quickly his got very little options left which are overall not good for him personally and for the US.

Further escalation means ground troops which could become a forever war like Ukraine or Vietnam, they may destroy Iran but will likely destroy their economy and world economy at the same time, with their relations in tatters all over the world. Add to the fact likely huge American casualties.

Stick with the failed air campaign and go after power plants leading to a similar outcome in terms of economic damage. Trumpy will be known as the biggest loser president in history who destroyed the US and world economy over yahu.

Third option his not brave enough to take, as he wants surrender.

Bhai, PDF knows I hardly ever comment on military hardware. I just don't know. I like to think I am better at connecting the dots.

Pakistan's journalists Hamid Mir and Asma Shirazi have yet to be proved wrong during this conflict. In this short video, Mr. Mir is saying that things are in place except for Trump's big mouth potentially derailing, just like Trump's stupid decision to block the Iranian shipments after Iran had 'fully' opened the Strait.
As of now, per this video, even Iranian security / pre delegations have arrived in Islamabad. So it is only Trump and his GOD DAMN BIG MOUTH (and maybe Netanyahu in the background) who are the obstacles.

If meeting is schedule then Iranian officials will attend, ignore twitter or Iranian tv channels. Pakistan is not going to shut down the capital, invite Usa officials and Iranians will not turn up. They hold secret back channel contacts.

We can not know for sure, they will prepare like its going ahead even if they are not certain, because the chance it does they need to be prepared.

Iran holds the cards! And if that was not so then notice the change of stance over the Lebanon ceasefire.
I'd be very, very interested to know what Pakistan's General Asim Munir discussed in those three days in Iran!

Well if there is no talks I would doubt ceasefire will be extended by either party but let’s see this might be just a bluff move to see if Trump is willing to budge or just go back to war but if there is no love to talks in next 2 days expect a big bang hopefully Iranians hit 30 minutes before the ceasefire is over because I’m betting they will have planes up 20 minutes before the ceasefire is over

Seriously, why has the Trump administration imposed the blockade on Iran in the midst of a ceasefire and when negotiations are in progress?

As anyone can see from their actions, the Trump administration is not after mutual deal but a capitulation from Iran.

So, if Iranians are not willing to submit to Trump/Netanyahu demands, what is the point of these "negotiations" that Trump is after?

This is not good for Iran's reputation or image..since it is imposing a blockade on the whole world's economy..while the US is imposing a blockade only on Iran!

I agree. Although I wouldn't dismiss the statements as fabricated just yet. Iranian official statements that seem to be claiming "rejection of US terms" may well be designed as a posturing mechanism, to leverage a stronger bargaining position at the table.

Everyone is now in the mood for bravado and bluster, pretending to be stronger than they actually are. Understandably so perhaps.
