Yes, but you're not going to use satnav for real-time targeting, or as a replacement for EO sensors.I think in general Simplicius' analysis more or less encompasses and even agrees with what you've said. He talked about satnav too but that has very real drawbacks (sat availability/orbits, lack of active comms to missiles, bandwidth considerations, etc)
>But then there’s still the issue that satellites cannot provide exact real time targeting solutions and direct mid-course updates to a specific missile. This is particularly the case with foreign satellites which cannot really be network-centrically integrated and datalinked that directly with Iran’s indigenous missile systems as to feed them real-time integrated data on firing solutions. At best, the satellites can provide “coordinates” for a given target where the missiles might fly and then autonomously acquire their own targets, which again brings us back to the earlier issues already raised.
In general it's just less about range and more about how to guide munitions accurately. Like if we look at Ukraine and the RN BSF, it's really only with the near constant availability of Starlink, and NATO AWACS/ISR drones and satellite recon that they're able to achieve any kind of success. That's a lot of support needed to score what victories they have achieved.
That particular user was probably self-projecting.Trolling aside @hasssanali8998 bahi, I think we all know why some elect to accept the GCC narrative, which is frankly embarrassing at this point. It got me thinking, outside of TRT, AJN there are no true intl media outlets that elevate and project the "Muslim" side of the story.
AJN have control of the narrative and flip and flop as and when it suits their needs, to their credit however their coverage of Palestine and Iran war has been good - expect for inviting some think tanks (if I can call them that) that paint Iran as a dud, which was incredibly one sided - the last episode of "counting the cost" was informative but also laced with some bias if you watch it carefully.
It is one area where Muslim nations have failed, controlling information sphere and narrative shaping. Most of what you see on Social media in support of Iran is organic, however for each pro Iranian post, there are thousands that are anti.
It is 2026, bros how come we don't have a true impartial platform to exchange ideas and elevate true and sane voices from all sides? I was checking out scroll up (but sadly like Blue Sky it doesn't have the member base to actually matter).
Muslim countries need to work on developing Media reach (soft power) and developing intl SM networks where their voices can be elevated. Just look at how many pro-Iranian voices have been silenced on X/FB(Ewww)/Insta and Reddit?
Y.day's talk between a intl. maritime legal specialist on AJN is the kind of bias that gets under my skin. One sided narrative building under the guise of impartiality.

We have a number of countries in the region who pretend to loathe Israel but in fact are in bed with them.
This stems from unfortunately "disunity " amongst the Muslims and the Muslim countriesTrolling aside @hasssanali8998 bahi, I think we all know why some elect to accept the GCC narrative, which is frankly embarrassing at this point. Saw the video. USS Spruance firing and disabling the tanker and then boarding itThey boarded it overnight. Cargo vessel flying Iranian flags.
OK. To name the major ones: Turkey, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. All for different reasons.Let's name them please
Yes it was posted on D.VIDS - so we can correctly assume despite positive commentary by Masoud Pezeshkian y.day about finding "rational and diplomatic means to end conflict" this would be seen as a proactive move and rightly considered by the Iranian side as a violation of the ceasefire agreement.Saw the video. USS Spruance firing and disabling the tanker and then boarding it

Please do not tell me how to moderate the forum. Thanks. An incomplete premise deserves debate, not removal. That's spirit of this forum.
