Pakistan will significantly help bring about a new regional status quo, sooner or later. USA and Iran and the Arabs all realise this. It is not in Trump's economic interests to substantially upset the apple cart now.

Yes, some rapid, limited military strike by USA remains on the cards to facilitate an off-ramp, but the Tel Aviv-Washington nexus has lost all hope of regime change.

Really pathetic, trying to get a gotcha moment on Pakistan with Trump and it backfired, he ended up complimenting us. Of course he knows we opened land routes, Trump is aware that Pak relations with Iran right now are actually an asset he can use

I also think more is at play here, US is allowing transport of normal goods as getting lots of oil over land is difficult, time consuming and not efficient the best way is over the high seas. However the arrangement I think is for China to receive its oil, for the Saudi's to be able to export via red sea and to allow transit of normal goods through Pak for Iran, so we are settling into a quasi status quo.

Saying all of that there is massive movement of assets and munitions to the ME so I would not be suprised if another round of attacks start.
