Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

Israel will likely not target Beirut as Iran will fire on Israel and US is not going to deploy defensive assets all over region again to shoot down incoming missiles

If Israel was actually independent it would go ahead and attack Beirut and absorb Iranian response.

US intercepted 50% or more of incoming Iranian missiles in the war. Without US activating it's Thaad and Navy defensive systems in region, several Israeli targets will get hit by Iranian missiles.
 
Fascinating, and maybe even a believable story of the Iran getting close to testing a nuclear device. First two minutes are enough to watch. Pakistan or North Korea are named, along with Russia and China.
Worth some major documentaries, if not a movie or two!

More than war machine. US is supposedly selling oil and gas, hurting China (somewhat) and other actors in Asia to weaken them. Gulf Arab states are also suffering economically and US is leveraging that to push for ties with Israel, among other things.

Iran has leverage so it shouldn't agree to dilute enriched uranium, even on its soil. Iran can wait this out. I wonder what next US steps would be.

Personally don't see a second war stating anytime soon as Gulf Arab states and Saudi Arabia refuse to be launching pads for war and there is no ground element anyone is willing to commit to.

We could see small skirmishes over Iranian BM's that Israel might start.

This means zilch in an election year. It's another of those bills politicians know will never actually get to the President's desk but they can do PR and posturing over it.

Entire purpose of the bill was so politicians running in midterms could say they opposed Iran war. A few primaried, retiring or pissed GOP joined in.
 
Trump said he wants to seperate Lebanon ceasefire from deal with Iran.

Now US announces ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel. It could be designed to make it difficult for Hezbollah to restart hostilities in event Iran comes under attack again.

Or while they're playing hot and cold game with Iran. Could be prelude to announcement of deal with Iran, however. Time will tell.

The Emperor Trump doesn't care for 'the polls' or for the Midterms, in his own words. What more can a Narcist at 80 year age say. He has been untouchable, pampered all his life. His life has been lived. He may get a Presidential 'pardon' from whoever maybe the next President-- a la Ford/Nixon.
BUT... this Congressional bill does allow Trump to walk away from this war and put the blame on the Congress. A fig-leaf. We shall see what is going to happen but Trump has been given an 'Exit Ramp' by the US Congress itself now. Let's not underestimate that.

Actually its a lost war so you can see domestic terrorists playing along with expat terrorists … the bond is natural
 
When the ceasefire was announced in the first ten days of April and shortly after that Vance went to Islamabad for the Islamabad Talks I knew then who had gained the upper hand. And one day analysts and historians would connect the ceasefire and the Islamabad Talks with the so-called 'rescue mission' which resulted in multiple American jets downed in Isfahan. I believe the mission was a turning point as it showed Iran's air defense systems to be far more capable then given credit for until then.

Iran had gained the upper hand then and you could see that in the pain of even the war mongers like John Bolton for the last several weeks. And I also think that some in the Pentagon top brass are pushing back against further escalation and there may be more Joe Kents resigning if there is another full fledged war.

Bilkul.......Iranis have wowed to make sure the US military is expelled from the region. Either via military means or via negotiation.
