Iran and the United States agreed to halt recent hostilities in the Gulf and renew talks regarding their dispute over the Strait of Hormuz, a US official said on Sunday, raising hopes of saving an interim peace deal that was under pressure from days of tit-for-tat strikes.

The exchanges have underscored the fragility of a Pakistan-brokered agreement to end the conflict that has killed thousands and snarled the flow of oil shipments through the vital Strait of Hormuz.

Most wars end in a form of stalemate. There are very few examples of decisive victories in wars, the future will be negotiated. There will be some military clashes as both sides jostle, but it won't materially change the outcome we have right now.

At the invitation of Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud will pay an official visit to China from June 30 to July 1.

Iranians are unable to hit US Naval vessels which are deployed a good distance from Iran and when Iran had the chance to actually hit them as some US naval vessels entered/near the Strait, then only warning shots were fired over them. Tells you something about Iran's strategy and that strategy has worked to result in the MOU, which is widely criticized by the pro war / Israelis.

To the point that US wants a deal.

If not they would be another round of 13.000 bombings of Irán.
