Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

It’s clear both sides used the MoU for their own respective reasons.
  • Iran to get its oil out and open missile tunnel and bases and empty oil storage tanks
  • U.S. to get the floating oil on tankers out and bring oil prices down and replenish its existing military bases
It doesn’t appear either party trusted that the other would actually negotiate faithfully. Both sides are going for a showdown over Hormuz. Let’s see which side blinks.

The Memorandum of MISUNDERSTANDING was doomed from the start!

Not really. Most here were giddy with victory and thoughts of hundreds of billions flowing in, as soon as the MoU was signed.

A few who said to wait and see were ridiculed, and are still taunted and called names.

Nevertheless, even now, one should keep up hopes that a final settlement is still likely to happen over the next couple of months.

USAF Refueler KC-135R has declared squawk 7700 EMERGENCY - currently near Tel Aviv on final approach.
Maybe it will do Iran a favor and just crash into all the other ones in a domino effect seriously and people say Irans Air Force is ancient(which it is) but America is still flying many aircraft that are approaching 80 years

Same here, they have been sitting very pretty and comfortable for now.

But we were told that there was a rush to escape Israel due to this war. What happened to that claimed exodus?

Perhaps it was all more hype than substance, the terror caused by Iranian missiles?

Yes,, these airframes are way past their prime. Some of them have been flying for hundreds of hours over the past few weeks, it takes its toll.

I don't want to go too far OT but the point is? Yes, there are a number of aircraft at the 80 year mark that are still flying. A testimonial to the outstanding maintenance they've been given and the sturdiness of the airframe.

B-52s will be flying well into the late 2040s possibly 2050s.

And updates. Lots of updates.

For example, the B-52s are getting a comprehensive engine update that will make them even more formidable.

Agree but still as old as my dad and for a guy who had a heart attack and two seizures 2 years back he’s in good shape but doesn’t mean we are going to let him have his keys to his car again that sits in his driveway and the same with those planes doesn’t mean I want them in the air either even if they look good for their age

I can’t take Iran seriously when they allow defenseless tankers to run around the Persian Gulf.

This is why this current “war” is a bunch of scripted theatrics. While Iranian air defenses and air force are severely degraded. It doesn’t take much (a drone with a manpad) to hit a tanker that’s flying.

So clearly there are “lines”, that Iran doesn’t wish to cross. Instead we get the same attacks toward Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan. While Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, and Even UAE gets spared.

That MoU sounded too good to be true anyway, and given the Zios largely kept their mouth shut over it, that was a clue that it wasn't going to last. Some folks on here didn't believe when people were saying it's just a temporary truce.

Only Iran is within its right NOT to trust the Yankees, given it was deceived twice by these lot. USA needs to GTFO out of the region, and ideally take the Europeans Settlers with it.
