Agreed, but attacks on Lebanon were also coming to a halt. The US was putting pressure on Israel to stop its attacks. Trump was actually visibly annoyed at Nathyahu for attacking Lebanon. Plus, we expected the US and Israel to deviate from the MoU, as they are the deceivers and cheaters and liars; and there was a prevailing sense that the US would need a lot of coercion from allies to remain true to the MoU and to make a meaningful Agreement eventually.
