Trump informed Iran he does not intend to attack, says Iranian official​

Trump has informed Iran that he did not intend to attack and also asked Tehran to exercise restraint, according to Iran’s envoy to Pakistan Reza Amiri Moghadam, as reported by Pakistani media outlet Dawn.

The Iranian envoy disclosed he received that information at about 1am Pakistan time (20:00 GMT) on Wednesday, which indicated that Trump did not want war and had asked Iran not to attack the US interests in the region.

Moghadam said people in Iran had a legitimate right to protest and that the government had engaged in talks with the demonstrators, the report added. The envoy also said armed groups carried out killings in Iran while also attacking mosques.

Anyone who believes trump is a moron. They will attack soon; I pray that Iran is locked and loaded.

US has crippeled Iranian nuclear capability, killed its top generals and yet Iran has never killed a single american soldier in so called retaliatory strikes. Everyone knows those "retaliatory strikes" were symbolic in nature giving advance warning itself causing headache at best to US soldiers. So killing "1000s of US soldiers" is not something which Iran will even think about. Iran knows US can finish Iran's entire infrastructure including oil and economy, industry, govt buildings and everything. Iran can do nothing against US mainland, can only lob missiles at its bases in region and create more enemies in the process.

Iran do not want to make US furious. It can engage in a war with Israel but not at all with the US.

You are right that nukes are not an option for Iran at least into the foreseeable future but I think if the Iranian govt faces a collapse and there is widespread destruction in Iran then they may go down with guns fully blazing, destroying the region, oil transit, and killing many American servicemen in the region. The death of a significant number of American troops will be a high political cost to any American administration. Biden couldn't absorb even the 13 Marines killed at the Kabul Airport in August 2021 even though he was given some leeway by the Republicans then; things are different now in American domestic politics.

For those who dont know:

Emergency Action Messages (EAMs) are messages transmitted from a ground station or an airborne command post (E-4B Nightwatch or E-6B Mercury (sometimes also called TACAMO)) to nuclear forces in the air or underwater (B-52s or nuclear capable submarines for example).

These messages can be anything from flight plans, weather information, etc. to launch orders, which you are highly unlikely to hear, as USAF comms go secure in times of emergencies or strikes against other countries from what we have been able to tell.
