And if you watch the video, he says they have a list of 9K names but the identity of 1K have been independently verified. Again, that is irrelevant. You say they are now accepting the 3K claim, which is absurd. They are claiming 40K dead.

In case of Iran, if Iran launches a pre-emptive strike then the narrative would be like 'We were negotiating in good faith and they attacked us'.
