The only way to get out of this situation is 1. MAJOR REFORMS, most importantly social and economic reforms, 2. going nuclear, 3. direct negotiations with the US based on national interests after becoming a nuclear state.

I think it is in the best interest of Iran that the transition of power happens smoothly without bloodshed but it seems that the regime and their supporters have completely lost their sanity and have chosen the path of civil war and turning Iran into another Syria instead of going for fundamental reforms and accepting that they have reached an impasse with their current policies.

This is the sentiment of many Exil Iranians. But this will not happen in my humble opinion.

We need a path forward that brings together our muslim and beliving Iranians (10s of millions) and all other iranians that want a more free/social/capitalistic/democratic environment.

This kind of "then we will wipe X, Y, Z" has never and will never work.

Go to Iran and visit the different Hosseinie or Mosques, you will udnerstand what I say.

Of course, there must be drastic changes and I also do not see how this islamic republic will survive the next decades with their doctrine of "loyality over competence".
