Iran did not acquire Chinese fighter jets. That's a fact. But we cannot use the subjective judgment term "unwilling."Whether China was unwilling, or unable to sell fighters to Iran, the end result was the same.
China has always been open to Iran purchasing J-10C fighter jets. However, they chose the Su-35.
The J-10C is a medium-sized fighter jet based on Chinese systems warfare concepts. The Su-35 is a heavy fighter jet based on Russian platform warfare concepts. The two are completely incomparable. Given Iran's own conditions, the Su-35 is a more suitable choice for the Iranian Air Force.
