Patrick Henningsen in one of his recent videos sounded confident that this will not turn out good for Americans; he just doesn't see that. He has been to Iran and has been interacting with Iranian officials and even seem to know some info about military capabilities.
I agree with him with a caveat: If Iranians fight as one nation, united, willing to pay high price, then I too believe Iran will be better off long term and even prevail in the current conflict.
