Usa had enough oil colonies Venezuela move was to get something thats not in middle east

USA is world largest oil producer with canada and Venezuela it has 2x the amount it needs

China can get all the oil it needs from Russia or other places, such as Iraq, Nigeria, Congo..etc.
 
After closing, I would only open the strait of hormuz if sanctions against Iran are lifted. When Iran is allowed to fully export oil and gas and sell products and is completely free of sanctions, then cargo and ships can pass the strait of hormuz.

Make this a crushing defeat of trump.
