Iran-Iraq war in the 80s lasted almost a decade, then Iraq Wars 1990 and 2003. Then multiple conflicts in Syria, Libya, Palestine, Yemen along with festering insurgencies.
The region is quite resilient if you look at its history. And that's partly because almost all Arab countries have decided to be on the good side of Washington and those who were not, were made to be inconsequential or become pauper vassals.
Plus, the GCC's loss of economy will hurt many countries with the expat money, including Pakistan.
