Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

That's because iran, focused on proxies rather then its own defense it overestimated the deterrence of non nuclear missile

Iran focused on proxies because from 1995-2025, Russia and China refused to sell Iran critical weapons that could give Iran an edge in the region. They even agreed to UN Arms embargo on Iran.

Iran is not Atlantis, a mythical civilization. It cannot produce fighter jets, navy ships, submarines, radars, air defense systems without support of other aligned countries that support standing up to US.

Russia and China simply didn’t view providing arms to Iran as part of their critical national interest. Right or wrong doesn’t matter. Thus Iran start moving towards a proxy model in the 90s and 00s. And it worked until it didn’t. By 2010, Iran wasn’t ready to change its tactics or begin using the substantial power it built in the Middle East.

Israel and U.S. pivoted and learned their lessons from 2006 war with Hezbollah from Arab spring from Syrian civil war. But iran was still stuck in the 90s playbook of proxies and missiles.

Charbahar port under heavy air attack......media reporting

Iran is now Saddam post 1991. Sure Baathist still have power, but they are so weakened and under sanctions they aren’t a threat to their neighbors. Saddam ruled over a corpse of a nation.

IRGC + Elite are in similar shoes. The Islamic republic is still in power, but the are now so weakened they aren’t a true military threat in the region.

How many times is Iran going to rebuild these tunnels for the U.S. to just bomb?

The military losses are likely in the tens of billions of dollars and will eclipse 100B+ the longer the war goes on.

The corpse of the Air Force is being destroyed

And the best Iranian air defenses are no match for even US drones:

The nuclear program has been laying under rubble for a year.

Not sure how you think that Iran holds any cards to reverse these realities.

Iran’s deterrence was being able to turn the Middle East on fire with Hz, Iraq, Houthis, and Hamas. When it was in Syria it would have forced the US and Israel to fight an aerial war in 5 countries (Yemen, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon) which would be a lot harder for any air force on the planet and would strain their enemies. It would allow more missiles to be fired and air defenses to be able to handle the strain and it would result in the enemy’s shield letting plenty of projectiles thru.

Iran has none of what Solemani built. It’s the weakest it’s been in 15 years.

Iran's never helped its allies when they really needed it. One by one, Hamas, Hezbollah, Syria, Houthis fell while each of them begging Iran to intervene at the right time. But Iran was averse to getting into the situation that it is inevitably in, right now, anyway.

Ironically, the same thing is now playing up on the global level with China, their allies falling one by one as they sit back being risk averse.

I've got to give one thing to the US. They do not care about losses, manpower or financial, they plan and jump in to protect their interests wherever needed, no matter that the risks. That's what is lacking everywhere else (excluding Russia, maybe)

(Reuters) - Israel has flown its official government aircraft to Germany and parked it for safety at Berlin's airport, German government sources said, after U.S. and Israeli strikes killed Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and plunged the region into conflict.

reports that the Arabs are preparing to attack Iran

they are so brave, I guess they are ready to say goodbye to their shiny skyscrapers and oil/gas facilities in order to keep US military bases

The UK Prime Minister spoke with the GCC countries yesterday, so not sure what he said to them.( It was reported on BBC News TV )

If they attack, Iran will probably take some shots but at the end they will get manhandled, they have 0 experience of war and the majority of its armies are US mercenaries and African slaves, this is a huge gamble they are doing, they have 100000x more to lose than Iran has

Just rendering UAE main port and airports inoperable will cripple their economies
