Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

RAF shoots down Iranian drone heading towards Qatarpublished at 19:31

A Royal Air Force (RAF) typhoon has successfully taken out an Iranian drone heading towards Qatari territory, a spokesperson for the UK Ministry of Defence says.

"The Typhoon jet was conducting a defensive air patrol and used an air‑to‑air missile to shoot down the drone, ensuring the security of Qatar’s airspace and British interests in the region," the statement says.

>> Looks like the UK has formally entered the war on Israel's behalf ..

What is the definition of “regime” being gone. Who is the regime? Who isn’t? Are they going to air drop people in?

Terrible war with no verifiable end goals. Just broad brush wants and wishes.

Honestly seeing the UAE being poumded brings me greater pleasure than even strikes on Israel.
I've not been to UAE recently, but one of my American friends who is as Caucasian as they come, got employment in UAE 6 months back. Returned after 3 months. Told me the whole place now has a satanic and unbearably materialistic vibe to it that he never even felt in Vegas.

Him and his wife, both said they never wanted to go there again, as the over the top extravagance and display of wealth made them sick and every local was arrogant and their only single aim being wanting to be richer than everyone around them.

Again, this is coming from a Caucasian Agnostic, liberal guy, to begin with.

I wonder if the irony is lost on trump he says he’s going to save iranian lives but before this war is over thousands upon thousands of civilians will die and yet the Iranians are the agitators

launches are coming from south Lebanon, which is even more embarrassing for Israel as that area was supposed to be demilitarised
From last few hours of being away and browsing, one source said Hezbollah may be down to only 30% (or 30,000) of its original rocket/missile strength but that's still enough to majorly distract Israel and that's why Israelis are calling for the Reservists.

Civil aircraft do land in Cyprus - Military aircraft from Israel Do Not - What does happen is that there is a separate UK airbase on that Island which is sovereign UK territory separate from the actual Island which is a country in Europe in its own right. Refer to map please.

Yellow is UK territory - the rest is a separate country in Europe known as Cyprus!

The UK Airbase does host US and UK aircraft which do operate inside Tel Aviv and support Israeli forces.
I see, thanks for the explanation. Wasn't aware of that.

I always thought the UK base was in the country of the Southern part of the divided Cyprus. That's how it was portrayed in a BBC interview with a Cypriot when there were some negotiations between both Cyprus were going on to try and unite them.

Screw the rockets unless they can start back up the large saturation attacks drones and any precision cruise or missiles is best right now

What do you mean brother? I don't get it.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that the RAF base in Cyprus is sovereign UK territory: it's legally part of the UK and has nothing to do with the country of Cyprus.
The Cypriots had to accept this to gain independence from the UK.

Unfortunate for those who entered the war unprepared for a war of attrition.

Highly regrettable state of affairs. We are witnessing true abysmal state of human depravity where millions of life's are at stake and people cheering both sides to up the ante. A true senseless war if there's such a thing.

Hezbollah's involvement also means the end of the state of Lebanon as we know it today. It's a perfect excuse for Tel Aviv to occupy Lebanese territory. Now we know why Israel called 100k reservists to join the military. I am not judging but simply pointing out facts.
It's IR falls then Hezbollah will inevitably fall too. Lebanese government and army, and maybe others would go after them after that fact.

They're actually in an existential struggle now too. Especially with Assad regime falling, they don't really have any friends remaining. And anyone willing to work with them will want them to surrender their weapons to the state.

There are two separate bases - Cyprus has always been a sovereign nation which is a full EU member. I think people always get confused by this.

Scott Ritter floated an interesting opinion which I am inclined to side with. It's not about moles leading to Khameini's death, but rather his own desire to be martyred and energize the resistance across the region.

Even the official statement from senior official suggested that Khameini did not want to hide in bunker, despite knowing he was sure to be the target in the first wave. US and Israel unintentionally made him a martyr in a faith where martyrdom is embraced with open arms.

This is quite long video - but worth watching.

Its called honourable death in traditional orthodox Islam. Anyways imagine if he was hiding in bunker people would say 100s of school girls have died, generals died but Khameini was hiding. He was martyred like a lion. At times soldiers have to put their bodies on the line and he did just that. The rest is up to Allah almighty, if its written there will be a way out for Iran, remember before the revolution Iran was under extremist secular leadership and the people decided they wanted to protect their Islamic moral code and rose up, in the near it can happen again, ofcourse the enemies will make sure it never happens.
