Unfortunately. Israel will make south Lebanon in to Gaza. Just like in 2006 war. They will target Beirut and blackmail Christians and others to harm hizbollah from North side.

But if the Lebanese have any sense of common sense and understanding of their history from the 80s onwards, then they should know that Israel would have held onto southern Lebanon had it not been for Hezbollah.
So what is more important for a country: Bombs falling into their neighborhoods or losing a chunk of fertile, strategic land to Israel permanently?

BS - Iranian economy is quite complex and have massive oil resources alongside an educated populace

Issue was always incompetentance of the Iranian regime and maybe Iranian people are not behind their government

Iranian missile program, nuclear program mixed in with imported Russian and Chinese conventional weapons could have possed a significant threat for any country

For whatever reason IRI just wasn't interested

And building up proxies in neighboring countries was not a good strategy
It isolated Iran

Nope, Russia was too interested in upholding the western led sanctions on Iran and even after coming under heavy western sanctions themselves they dragged their feet in supplying equipment that had been already paid for by Iran. As for the Chinese equipment I guess the Iranian Brass fell for the western propaganda that it was no good and only realized their mistake after the May 2025 skirmishes and by then it was too late to purchase, train on and integrate into their forces (this was a lost chance). Because of the sanctions no country was willing to sell anything meaningful to Iran.
