Again, China won't risk going to a total war with the superpower US for the sake of relieving tension on other country. No one can really control the escalation once confrontation starts.

Unlike previous major wars with direct American involvements, this stupid Trump admin has not even tried to 'sell' the war to the American people and so, by default, Americans are wondering what's going on, with the typical American Attention Deficiency Disorder about global affairs and Israel is getting the blame by default more than Israel ever did.

At this point, not much anyone could do, this is going to have a full-on effect on oil price, becaused you stopped 20%, let's just hope that Trump was having his PMS (i know that's a woman thing) and throwing tandem just for a bit and stop in a few weeks when whatever in his mind was gone and he was reminded of the gas price. But if this is darker than I thought, then we are looking at some sort of Naval and Air Operation, because they would need to break the Iranian blockade in Hormuz, which means they need to run a convoy protection and interdiction mission in Hormuz; you can't do that with just 2 Carrier Battle Groups in the wrong side of Hormuz.

Guess we will know in a couple of days to see if Trump is moving more air and naval assets in the area.

Dud, there is no blockage, Iran did not plant any mines yet. It Yemen style of "blockade", good luck trying dismantle it without land invasion or you can ask nicely your insurance companies to change their policies :).
