I don't know why Iran didn't get modern Chinese weapons the last 10 years. Modern weapons,not trash. Was it the Iranian leadership's fault? Was it the Chinese who wouldn't sell fighter jets,bombers and AA systems to Iran? For 15 years Iran has been trying to get Su-35s from Russia,not managing that. Trying to get S-400s,trying to get S-300s,trying to get what? Nothing.

Iran's big mistake was to spend billions and billions of dollars on ballistic missiles,cruise missiles and drones. Iran gambled all their money on unconvential warfare and this is the result. And most importantly,spending all that money while doing nothing to tighten counter-intelligence. Dozens of billions of dollars spent on proxies in Lebanon,Syria,Iraq,
Yemen,Afghanistan,Pakistan,Palestine and elsewhere. It worked for a while. It proved a failure in the end. And when I say Iran,I mean the mullah government,the leadership of the clerics and their IRGC.

Scared of US sanctions, no country was willing to sell them anything, not Russia, not China. And therefore, these countries will never be Superpowers, because they lack the spine that the US has. US supplied tens of Billions of USD worth of weapons to Ukraine which were used against Russia; US supports Taiwan and sells them tens of Billions of USD worth of weapons to be used against China............but neither Russia nor China has the spine to provide similar kind of support to Iran; support which can seriously hurt US interests and also tests Chinese/Russian weapons against US in actual combat.

A protracted US/Israel-Iran war can be devastating for the US; perhaps as devastating as Afghan war was for USSR.

I don't think that's not a friendly fire. A fire friendly fire can't happen to multiple jets unless they are in close proximity to each other. Either that's Russian air defence help to Iran or a Chinese hand. Remember the communication manipulation tactics Chinese used during operation sindoor that made brahmos missiles to strike down targets in India. It's looks something similar.

Just watched Air Cdre Chisti interview on TV. And he said exactly what I said here. Either it's S400 by Russia or Chinese HQ9. He said HQ9 is even more deadly and we shot down one indian jet with it.

Khamenei was stupid for not allowing his nation to get the biggest deterrent that can protect Iranian people from being bombed like this.

Friendly fire is always an issue. During earlier GW 1 & 2, Patriots shot down RAF Tornados and USN F-18s.
India shot down its own MI17 during the skirmish of 2019.

You have IFF - Identification Friend or Foe system onboard. It is supposed to transmit a message that authenticate you as a friendly for AD system. Maybe the updated codes were not shared with the Kuwaiti batteries.

Yes i know all that rivalry in past but looking in past is not always healthy in terms of geopolitics especially in middle east which is always in turmoil and schemes due natural wealth control and needle in foot called israel.
It is objective fact that if Iran falls Turkiye will be also curtailed and tailored per jews wishes they even told you that in public it is up to you what you will do with that announcement.

How exactly did the US abandon Europe over Ukraine? Which country was it that couldn't move weapons and supplies over to Uke-land fast enough? So much so that they also pulled in commercial air freight carriers? Over one two week period, I called it to within a couple hundred tons the US moved into RZE.

I have been saying the same, if only Iran had not ratted out Pakistan and had continued to develop Nuclear Weapons, it would have been impossible for any country to attack Iran.
