one of the reason is they cannot interdict Iranian missiles from the air... that is why there was talk of ground troops... by that they mean deploying Delta units to missile hunt.... like they did in the first Gulf war.

however I dont know the state of the Iranian airforce but their army is in tact.

I hope IRGC can target the USAF tanker and transport planes too if they land and park on air bases in Jordan, Cyprus and Israel. Heck, if some USAF tanker planes move to Air Bases in Italy or Greece, then IRGC should target those air bases too, saying whatever country that hosts US assets aiding in attacking Iran will be legitimate targets.

I think very little success is achieved by spreading around their missiles all over the place. Especially towards well defended targets. Imagine the impact they might have had if they had concentrated their fire on one or two targets. Say, 1,000 missiles each on Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The results would have been enough to force the other side to agree to a ceasefire. By drip, drip, drip targeting all around, there is relatively little damage to force ceasefire on the attackers.
