Sir Navy without Air Force is useless. Sitting duck what is the navy going to do take 11000 royal marines ?

RAF 12 Sqdn in Qatar has a handful of Eurofighters - limited munitions and limited stockpiles of complex munitions and supply lines means RAF will not be in a position to perform anything more than surveillance and interdiction role.

The bulk of USN assets are beyond the reach of Iranian missiles and very well protected.
