For the Gulf countries its clear those US bases are worthless against an external threat, US turned tail and abandoned them. The local forces have spent last few days defending them why do they need the US?

So when you consider that question, one can lead to the conclusion they more help deal with internal threat than external and provide the US eyes, ears, logistics for this part of the world.

Judging from the proximity of the strikes, the targets are military or government. Was just reading other posts that IRGC targets are being hit.

The US is not carpet bombing neighborhoods.

If you question the accuracy of our targeting, I saw what was once the Yugoslav Ministry of Defense building when we were in Belgrade. Or least the ruins of it. We dropped a bomb right down an air shaft.
