I am guessing they are using the word "rescue" to avoid getting into some issues with the US. No one wants to get involved in conflict.

The problem is USA has safe and sound industrial base back at home that can churn out the weapons according to operational needs.
Contrarily,Iranian Industry is at halt and any bullet that's fired is gone, mean you can't replace that.
So in purely weapons replenishment context, Iran will be at a huge disadvantage if war stretches out for months (the infamous War of Attrition).

Some weapons except dumb bombs can't be replaced because China cut off Rare Earths to the USA(vital for producing cruise missiles, PGMs and related weaponry including for lasers and stuff)

The K-4 they fired at the airport didn’t make it as recent satellite imagery showed. Not sure why they would fire a valuable missile off by itself 5 days into the war and not on day 1.
