Russia panned its war with Ukraine very meticulously. They reigned in their debts, foreign exposure... created a parallel economy and as soon as the western corporations started leaving they started immediately taking them over and running them under domestic management. The idea from many was that without spares and difficulty in accessing Russian oil their output will start declining.

Instead the depleted the collective and just about now are reaching parity in where the west needs them more than vice versa. Iran has similar dynamic at play however a shorter fuse. They'll have to go through the severity of hardship before any relief... due in part because THEY DID NOT GO NUCLEAR! Because they allowed meddling and foreign blackmail and couldn't build leverage and deterrence.

Imagine how far Iran can take it right now in liberating the whole region if anyone else joins them... not bigger like Pakistan or Turkiye but Iraq or Libya even... People who've suffered through and know... while others watch for their turn. Once accomplished it will them reaping the bounty. Bot Iraq and Libya have reserves like Iran ... which guarantees their return unlike others who lack any resource with a foundational demand in global markets.

So yes... they'll go on their knees to Russia if they have to as the pinch becomes a strangle hold... and Russia can dictate terms.

I hope there is a compromise but hoping doesn’t produce compromises or results.

We can officially conclude from the 7th day of the war, that Iran is not going to capitulate as attempted from the start of the war.

Which means, the shock and awe tactics have failed, and the war is now transitioning to a war of attrition.

So where is the one who will fight? The Arabs wanted Nasr, who fights on their behalf. Syria betrayed us in the 1967 war with Israel. The agreement was that the Syrian army would strike Israeli positions on June 5th after the outbreak of the Israeli war, but they refused. And in October 1973, the Syrians refused to strike the pipelines that connect the Golan Heights to Israel. So where are the Islamic countries you are talking about?

no tankers have exited the strait since March 1 as per multiple maritime, intelligence agencies and confirmed by a senior adviser to the Revolutionary Guard commander.
