Following as the situation evolves is fine. What you're suggesting however is not likely to happen. The votes aren't there and the Vice President certainly isn't going to turn his back on his boss.

I'm not convinced we have any leaders capable of de-escalation. Who do you have in mind? Every last one of them I wouldn't trust to run a street corner hot dog cart (corndog for @RescueRanger ) much less de-escalate a war.
 
Apparently Pete hegseth fueding with rubio as hegseth wants ground invasion and rubio against it.

I have no doubt In a few weeks or months mobilisation will occur and a ground invasion will start. That is what iran wants and is laying the trap.

It is quite a rough situation , agreed but will see how opinion of public changes in upcoming weeks

There is zero chance of a ground invasion by US troops. Zero. At most you will see a Special Forces mission for something. If there is a feud its probably over using some other cannon fodder forces like the reported Kurdish militias in the north or someone else to harass the Iranians.

Maybe but once iran hits the gulf oil facilities and threatens the petro dollar all bets are off. Plus the usa leadership team are a bunch of retarded frat boys who are bloodthirsty. We will see i guess.

LOS ANGELES: The Pentagon on Wednesday identified two more soldiers who were killed in the war against Iran.

The two Army Reserve soldiers died ‌on Sunday in a drone attack on a US military facility in Port Shuaiba, Kuwait that also killed four other reservists.

The Pentagon said Major Jeffrey O’Brien, 45, of Iowa, was killed in the attack and announced ⁠the “believed death” of Chief Warrant Officer 3 Robert M. Marzan, 54, of Sacramento, California. Positive identification of Marzan will be completed by the medical examiner, the Pentagon said.

At least four killed in Israeli strike on building in Lebanon’s Baalbek

Both O’Brien and Marzan served in the 103rd Sustainment Command from Des Moines, Iowa, part of the Army’s global logistics and supply operation.

The U.S. military on Tuesday identified four soldiers ‌of ⁠the same command who also died in the drone attack, marking the first casualties of the war.

  • Captain Cody A. Khork, 35, of Winter Haven, Florida
  • Sergeant 1st ⁠Class Noah L. Tietjens, 42, of Bellevue, Nebraska
  • Sergeant 1st Class Nicole M. Amor, 39, of White Bear Lake, Minnesota
  • Sergeant Declan J. ⁠Coady, 20, of West Des Moines, Iowa
The announcement comes as the conflict intensifies, with US Defence Secretary Pete ⁠Hegseth saying on Wednesday that the US“can sustain this fight easily for as long as we need to.“
