The so-called 'cowardly' Arab countries used to take on Israel and did multiple times. They are now resigned to be at the mercy of whatever America-Israel decide in the hope of just keeping their economies going by being on the good side of America. And their logic is not bad: Tens of millions have been lifted out of poverty in several Arab countries and there are vibrant, globally connected cities. Iran had the same potentials but they made the choices which have led to this.
However, the honeymoon period of the Arab countries is ending because Israel has come to a stage regionally where it could and will dictate terms on many things.
