Hi all,
Been following this forum since the IMF days. Every conversation, arc, majors news, every doctrinal discussion, the heated debates about priorities, and also the occasional name calling, bans etc, all of it ;-) I'm one of those "anonymous" saturating the forum in times of war not because i'm some sort of stalker but rather because you guys clearly are my prime source of OSINT-related information hands down. My regular coffee break forum for 15 straight years if not more. At least a dozen of my friends now use it the same since June 2025. Learned so many things with you all. For those who once followed it, I used to blog in the former "Uksowi On Iran" blog under the name "-A" for a time and most of my tentative insight came from the various threads here.
Feels like I know a lot of you guys already, very weird but interesting sentiment.
I was this close to sending my very first post at the conclusion of the 12 Days war but for an array of personal reasons, I backed off by then. I will start off by stating right off the bat that I'm opposed to the theocratic gov't, and in favor of a secular, nationalist , parliamentary one in the league of what Dr. Mossadegh tried to establish before those wicked Americans "Ajaxed" it off existence in ts inception phase. My further political DNA says that my number one enemy remains US imperialism, and needless to say genocidal Zionism currently unleashed in all of its savagery against our beautiful cities and people, with unbearable scenes of bombs tearing through entire areas. I value an integral, unified Iran beyond any other consideration. To me, Iran's mortal ennemies comes from outside first and foremost, so that there isn't any doubt for anybody about who I am at the core. No matter my level of passionate opposition to the regime, its widespread corruption, its kiling of its own citizen, the lamentable dresscode obsession and Islamist rigorism (even though the former is de facto gone now) fighting off foreign enemies carpet bombing the nation, always takes precedence.
What is happening today is a war for survival of the state, no matter its political color or regime at a given moment. The West's Balkanization project has now officially kicked off, and while hoping with all my heart that it does not happen down the line, I wanted to salute every single one of you angry Iran defenders before everything possibly descends to hell. I feel sincerity in all of you in your own fashion at loving and defending the homeland however you can from where you sit, no matter whatever disagreements we may have with one another.
Gosh I Wanted to wade into so many discussions for so many years but I just couldn't find anything useful or reach the needed added value to do so, and not so much more here today tbh.
To Have me in a nutshell on the military side : I remain and always was "team strong IADS datalinked to a small but super modern 4+ gen airforce" and in that regard hated to witness the slow death that the Sepah imposed on the Niroo Havaei that saw its corrupt brass wiping off its every endeavor, every time they started reaching something interesting (the F-14AM project was a tragedy beyond belief, ditto the Fakour-90, so darn unforgivable to having let down the air branch at that level), even though the SRBMs and MRBMs showed their worth in two wars already, I couldn't stand the all-missile doctrine and overbudgeting and the many ludicrous pet projects of the navy that cost us so much ressources, and valuable time. and also cost us so dearly by its monolithic approach. That is me, veryyy broadly, on the more technical side.
Anyway, this post has already become too long but I really wanted to speak from the heart tonight, thanks to you people in such dire times at least I have some eyes into the whole mess and can cling on rational angles and not end up in a permanent doom & gloom panic mode all day long that would otherwise make me go literally crazy.
Long Live Iran.
